Meet 926, the new Stax Music Academy Alumni Band! Now performing at the Stax Museum & B.B. King’s Blues Club on Beale Street

Join us at the Stax Museum of American Soul Music each Tuesday 2-4 pm June 5 – July 3, 2018 for live music by the hottest new musicians in Memphis, 926, the Stax Music Academy Alumni Band! These are singers and musicians who have graduated from our world-renowned Stax Music Academy and now either attending college or have graduated college and working as professional musicians. Many have graced concert stages throughout the country and the world, including Australia, Italy, England, France, Germany, New York City’s Lincoln Center, Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center and Smithsonian Museum Festivals, and here at home at Levitt Shell, B.B. King’s Blues Club, Memphis in May, and other venues.

In addition to their performances at the Stax Museum, you can see 926 each Monday and Friday, 12:30 – 4:30 pm at B.B. King’s Blues Club on World Famous Beale Street! No cover charge.

Here them put their unique spin on the music of artists such as The Staple Singers, Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes, Booker T. & the MGs, Rufus and Carla Thomas, Al Green, Aretha Franklin, and countless others.
