NEW DATE FOR SPRING SOUL FEST

Due to the weather, our finale for the Handy Park Series, “Spring Soul Fest: A Tribute to Bettye Crutcher,” will happen Thursday, May 25th, from 5 – 7 pm. 

Get ready to groove to the sounds of the legendary Stax Records this April! The Stax Music Academy will be in residency every Thursday from 5 – 7 pm at Handy Park on Beale Street. The program will culminate with the finale Spring Soul Fest performance by all ensembles on Thursday, April 27th, from 5 – 7 pm featuring a set list that pays tribute to the legendary Stax Records artist and songwriter, Bettye Crutcher. Enjoy live music, dancing, and a host of other fun-filled activities for the entire family.

These shows are free and open to the public, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to the venue. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience this spring!
